Membership is open to anyone who either lives or works in Dacorum. <a href=\"http:\/\/dacorumfirst.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/DFCU-FAQ-Nov-2016.pdf\">Our FAQ page<\/a> has some more information about us and our policies.<\/p>\n<p>Our latest financial accounts can be viewed or downloaded <a href=\"http:\/\/dacorumfirst.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Dacorum-First-Credit-Union-2023-accounts.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Like all Credit Unions we are regulated and monitored \u00a0by:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bankofengland.co.uk\/pra\/pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Prudential Regulation Authority<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fca.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Financial Conduct Authority<\/a>. Our Registration Number in the FCA Mutuals Register is 556C.<br \/>\nWe are a member of the Association of British Credit Unions (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.abcul.org\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ABCUL<\/a>), and our members&#8217; savings are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Schemem(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fscs.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FSCS)\u00a0<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We are staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers and managed by a Board of Directors who are also unpaid.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Friends of DFCU&#8221; \u00a0is an organisation which raises funds to help\u00a0with our expenses and thus increase the dividend we can pay.
